The Antique Center is located in the historic building that formerly houses Gantert Furniture. The center is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

Gantert Furniture was established in 1874 by Stephan Gantert. The front of the building is in Corinthian style, featuring Greek columns. At ont time, furniture was made on the second floor and sold on the first floor.

The building is flanked by the former La Crosse Furniture store and the former Rowleys' Office Supplies store. Both buildings are being restored with business space on the ground floor and residences on upper floors. Third Street is a dynamic street once again.
